An ancient medallion is unearthed in Pueblo, Colorado, revealing a secret that will rewrite the history of North America - the Vikings somehow made it to the continent's interior, centuries before Columbus made landfall, and there they built a city of gold. But today the Coelho Medallion has been stolen, and a linguist and researcher has been abducted in connection with the crime. Could the abductors be after the fabled city of gold? Or do they have a more sinister plot in mind? Dan Kotler is an independent researcher who often finds himself in more trouble than he was expecting. But when his colleague is abducted, he finds himself being investigated by the FBI, and he must use all of his brilliance and expertise to find her and absolve himself. Anwar Adham has plans for a terrorist action on US soil, and information from the Pueblo research site can give him everything he needs to put his plans in motion. Unless Adham is stopped, thousands and possibly millions will die. Whoever wins this contest of wits and wills will hold the fate of thousands in his hands, and will also lay claim to the fabled city of gold. It's an adventure that can redefine the history of America as we know it. Kotler finds himself facing off against both the FBI and Adham's terrorist network as he struggles to solve the mystery of Vikings in Colorado, to rescue Evelyn, and stop Adham's plans before it's too late. 1. Twelve-year-old Austin Ellers is convinced his day is ruined when he can't muster up the courage to ask his crush to the school dance. But, when he finds a secret interplanetary control room buried in the field behind his house and a woman named Kyra from the Universal Preservation Alliance asks for his help, he has to admit that his confidence problems look a little minor in comparison. Kyra needs the medallion Austin's grandfather left him to fix a beacon on a distant planet and prevent intergalactic war from breaking out. Austin's not about to let some stranger run off with his beloved memento, but, when war-hungry, shapeshifter aliens known as Dethcors show up at his school to get him to surrender the medallion, he teams up with Kyra and heads into deep space to draw the aliens' attention away from his friends and family. It's no mean feat for Austin to raise his hand in class on a good day, so how does Kyra expect him to convince other aliens to be their allies and negotiate safe passage to the beacon? Middle school is hard enough without being impersonated by Dethcors and breaking through starship blockades. And can the kid who has a hard time completing a sentence when talking to a girl really become the hero who saves the universe? 1. Language: English. Narrator: Colin Marth. After filming the movie Giant, actor James Dean planned to enter his 1955 Porsche Syder in a race at the Salinas, California Airport. Following in Dean's station wagon were stunt car driver Bill Hickman and photographer Sanford Roth. Driving the Porsche, Dean left the slower station wagon behind as the race car continued on at an estimated 85 mph. From the opposite direction was a vehicle driven by Donald Turnupseed. He later testifed that he slowed as he approached the ill fated intersection then, glanced up the hill to look for upcoming cars. Crossing over the center line to continue his trip, Turnupseed said he never saw the race car. Police later concluded that the color of Dean's car and the twilight dusk camouflaged the silver Porsche. Turnupseed's car and Dean's Porsche hit almost head-on. Here is where our story begins. Bill Hickman and Sanford Roth followed Dean, not knowing the tradegy they would soon discover. Stopping for directions, the two meet an aspiring singer known only as Garrett Arizona. Within minutes the three arrive at the fatal crash site. Bill and Sanford are devastated. Standing nearby, the young singer picks up a shiny metal object that will change his life forever. Fifty years later, a series of letters are discovered by the grandson of Garrett Arizona. The letters reveal not only the past but, also his future. Taking the letters, he embarks on a journey to find the grandfather he has never met. He may not survive it as he knows nothing of The Curse of The Medallion. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Jake S.
